Ratings - Internet, PPM, HD
Arbitron says it will release Internet radio and HD ratings this summer. Arbitron claims its identified 300 new platforms that can be encoded. Arbtron says the most eligible are in Houston and Philadelphia. They plan to release the data in August. We’ll see.
Meanwhile, a new Coleman study touts the power of Rush Limbaugh. The study of PPM data from Houston, Philadelphia, and New York shows Rush strongest before the show begins and during commercial breaks. Coleman says this is do the audience anticipation. It also indicates the show drops dramatically after the first five minutes of each hour. One final note, according to the study, Rush’s audience likes negative and neutral topics versus positive ones.
